Stacklumen Base, on your home screen.

Add Stacklumen Base to the home screen of your phone or tablet and it opens like an app: full screen, under its own icon, on stacklumen.com/base. Pick your device and browser to see exactly where to tap.

Safari on iPhone

On iOS 18 and earlier, Share is the square with an arrow in Safari’s toolbar.

On a computer? Open stacklumen.com/base/mobile on your phone and follow along there.

It opens like an app.

The icon on your home screen is stacklumen.com/base itself, without the browser around it.

Full screen

No address bar and no tabs. Stacklumen Base opens on its own, under its own icon, and sits in the app switcher beside your other apps.

Opens on your dashboard

Whichever page you added it from, the icon opens your dashboard, or sign-in the first time, with the library, the docs and the rest of Stacklumen Base a tap away.

Made for a phone

The dashboard, the library, the templates, the tools, the docs and the rest of the site lay out for the width they have, from a small phone to a tablet.

The designer waits for room

The designer is a canvas, so it asks for a bigger screen: an iPad in landscape, or a computer. On a phone it says so instead of squeezing.

Questions.

I can’t find Add to Home Screen.

On iPhone and iPad it’s in the share sheet: scroll the list of actions to the end. If it still isn’t there, tap Edit Actions at the bottom of the list and add it. Chrome, Firefox, Edge and DuckDuckGo on iPhone need iOS 16.4 or later to offer it. On Android it’s in the browser’s menu, and some browsers call it Install app or Add to phone.

Do I have to sign in again?

Usually once. iPhone and iPad keep an app on the home screen signed in separately from the browser, so sign in the first time you open the library from it and it remembers you after that. On Android it usually shares the browser’s sign-in.

Which browser should I use?

The one you already use. On iPhone and iPad every browser on this page makes the same app, except Brave, which can’t add to the home screen yet, so Safari does that one step. On Android, add it from the browser you want it to open in.

Does it need updating?

No. The icon opens the same Stacklumen Base you use in a browser, so it is always the current version. There is nothing to download and nothing to update.

Does it work on a tablet?

Yes. iPad has its own steps above, and Android tablets follow the Android ones. Everything works on a tablet, and in landscape the designer opens too.

How do I remove it?

Touch and hold the icon, then choose to remove or uninstall it. Your account and your work stay exactly as they are: they live in Stacklumen Base, not on the phone.

Keep Stacklumen Base one tap away.

Open stacklumen.com/base on your phone and add it to your home screen.
