What alpha means
The apps wearing the Alpha chip are real, working software that we use ourselves — and they are still being built in the open. Features ship quickly, interfaces move, and occasionally something breaks before we catch it. The chip exists so that is never a surprise.
What can change
During alpha we may add, redesign, or remove features without the notice period a finished product deserves. Where a change affects something you have built — a published site, a saved document, an API token — we work to migrate it rather than break it, and anything we cannot migrate we announce first.
Your work is safe
Alpha applies to the product, not to your data. What you make is yours (see the terms of service), it is stored with the same care as everything else we run, and leaving alpha will never mean starting over. We do not reset accounts or wipe content between releases.
Availability and support
We aim for the same uptime as any of our production services, but during alpha we do not offer a formal SLA. If something is down or broken, tell us at support@stacklumen.com — alpha reports go to the people writing the code, usually the same day.
Pricing during alpha
Billing is not switched on during the public alpha, so everything is free today and nothing is charged. The published plans are what apply once it is. Before billing is switched on you will get notice, and you will see the price and choose before you are charged — nothing converts silently.
Feedback
Alpha is the period where feedback moves the product the most. Anything you send us — bug reports, ideas, complaints — you grant us the right to build on without obligation, and we read all of it.
The rest of the agreement
These alpha terms sit on top of the terms of service and the privacy policy, which continue to apply. Where they conflict, the alpha terms win for as long as the chip is on the door.
These pages are written to be read, and they are the terms we operate by — but they are maintained by the team, not issued as legal advice. If something here matters to a decision you are making, ask your own counsel, and if anything looks wrong or unclear, tell us at support@stacklumen.com.
