Four products, now live·See the suite

We’re now Stacklumen

After nearly two years as Axom and a short chapter as Stackent, we landed on the name that actually fits what we are building: an illuminated ecosystem of agency work, open tooling and education for the modern web. Same team, same care, broader horizon — and a name we intend to keep.

A name that fits what we are actually building

We spent nearly two years as Axom and a few months as Stackent. Both names served a moment, but neither quite captured the full picture. No marketing theatre — just the four things that pushed us toward a name we would stick with.

Every project taught us something worth reusing

Years of shipping Webflow and Shopify work built a library of patterns, components and hard-won methods. Clients kept asking for the same building blocks. At some point the honest answer became: stop rebuilding these privately and release them.

“Agency” alone stopped describing us

Stackent signalled a service provider — one agency, one offering. What we are building now is four connected surfaces: agency work, open tooling, education and community. Each feeds the others, and a new identity was the clearest way to make that shape legible.

Clarity is the whole point

Small business owners and independent developers do not need more jargon, more platforms or more gated knowledge. They need things to make sense. Stacklumen — literally the light of the stack — names that promise directly.

The right time is when things are good

Rebrands made under pressure look rushed. We did this while the business was stable, the work was shipping and the roadmap was clear — because the next decade should be built on a name that fits the mission.

What Stacklumen means

A portmanteau, but a deliberate one — built from two parts that each say something specific about the work.

Stacklumen

/stak·LOO·men/

noun · the light of the stack

From lumen, the unit of light

A lumen measures illumination — how much visible light something actually gives off. Naming ourselves Stacklumen is a commitment: illuminate the stack rather than add to its clutter. Clear tools, clear documentation, clear paths. “Stack” grounds us in what we work on; “lumen” names what we bring to it.

A new name, not a new team

The name and the horizon are bigger. Everything else you have come to expect carries forward unchanged.

What is new

The name and the home. We are Stacklumen, and stacklumen.com is our address. All older links redirect automatically.

Email addresses. Team email has migrated to stacklumen.com, and every previous address continues to forward indefinitely.

The ecosystem. Agency work continues as it has. Alongside it: Kitlumen for browser-first web tools, Baselumen for components and resources, the Stacklumen client portal, and Stacklumen AI as a co-builder.

The brand language. More about light, clarity and illumination in how we describe the work. Same care, more honestly named.

What is the same

The team. Same founders, same developers, same designers — you work with the same people.

Active projects. Every project keeps its timeline, scope and pricing. Nothing gets reshuffled.

Existing contracts. Fully valid as signed, and we handle any paperwork on our end.

How we build. Same specialisation in Webflow, Shopify and custom code. Same standard, same direct access to the people doing the work.

One brand, four surfaces

Stacklumen is the parent identity for a connected ecosystem. The agency funds the tooling, the tooling grows the community, and the community reinforces the agency.

Agency

The original full-service work, evolved. Webflow, Shopify and custom builds — the proving ground for everything else in the ecosystem.

Products

Kitlumen for browser-first web tools, Baselumen for components and resources, and the Stacklumen client portal. Everything built for clients, released in the light.

Education

Education as a first-class product. Build docs, walkthroughs and the decision log behind real client projects — teaching modern web craft in the open.

Community

A gathering place for builders, owners and teams using the Stacklumen stack. Office hours, code reviews, early access and a place to ship together.

How the transition works

A phased rollout designed to be invisible to you. Nothing is required on your side — everything is handled here.

Stacklumen goes live

The new brand is live at stacklumen.com. Every older link redirects automatically — bookmarks, old emails and search results all still work. Agency work continues uninterrupted.

Identity and ecosystem rollout

Team email, social profiles and portfolio links complete their migration. Kitlumen and Baselumen enter beta with early access for selected clients and collaborators, and documentation begins going public.

The full ecosystem

Kitlumen, Baselumen and the client portal go public, education launches, and community opens. The four surfaces operate as one connected brand, each reinforcing the others.

The stuff you are probably wondering

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, reach out and we will answer it directly.

Do I need to update anything on my end?

No. Old links keep working through automatic redirects and old email addresses continue to forward. Updating your bookmark to stacklumen.com is appreciated when you get a chance, but nothing breaks if you don’t.

Is my existing contract still valid?

Yes, fully valid. Every active contract stays exactly as signed. A company rebrand does not affect legal or contractual relationships, and we handle any paperwork updates on our end if they are needed.

Will my invoices or billing change?

Amounts and schedules are unchanged. Invoices show the Stacklumen brand, but every number stays the same. Your previous email address keeps working as a forward, so invoices continue to reach you.

Can I still reach you at my usual email address?

Yes. Older addresses forward to the new ones, so messages reach the right person. We will share updated addresses as the migration completes, but no action is required from you.

What does “Stacklumen” actually mean?

Stack plus lumen. A lumen is the unit of light — it measures illumination. We build tools and work that illuminate the modern web stack for the people using it. The name is the promise.

What about the older names — are those going away?

Both are retiring, but their infrastructure stays alive. Redirects from the legacy domains remain active indefinitely and old email forwards stay live, so nothing that links to either brand breaks. Stacklumen is the name we plan to keep — there will not be a fourth.

Does this mean pricing is changing?

Not for existing clients or active projects — every agreement holds. Pricing for new work continues to evolve based on scope and complexity, as it always has, but a rebrand does not change any rate.

Does this mean something is wrong with the business?

The opposite. Moves made under pressure look rushed; this one was deliberate, made while things were stable, because we wanted the identity right before the next phase of growth.

How can I get early access to the products?

Active agency clients get early access automatically as releases roll out. For everyone else, reach out through the contact form and we will add you to the list directly.

Who do I talk to if I have concerns?

The same person you have always worked with. You can also use the contact form on this site — it lands in the same inbox and gets a reply the same day wherever possible.

One message away

Whether you want to continue your agency work, join early access for Kitlumen or Baselumen, or just talk through what any of this means for you — one inbox, one business day.
