Get credit for the work you build.

Already a member? Open the Dev Program

Four steps from your workspace to the directory.

Everything happens where the work already lives. The member screen is in every product, and a workspace that joins from one is a member in all three.

  1. Join Dev

Apply from your workspace in a few minutes. A person at Stacklumen reads every application and answers within 10 working days.

  2. Submit your work

Pick a site, template, component, design or app straight from your workspace, so the review starts from proof it is yours.

  3. Reviewed in the open

Every piece is read against a published six-part rubric, and every decision comes with the reason, row by row.

  4. Credited and listed

Credited work names the people who made it, counts toward your tier, and lists you where clients look for builders.

Three tiers, earned from reviewed work.

Every number behind a tier is counted from credited work, never typed in. Up is immediate; down only ever happens at a review, with notice.

Distinctions sit beside the tiers: 3 credited pieces in one product earn its specialist mark — Terminal specialist, Baselumen specialist, Operalumen specialist — so a client can see where a member’s depth is, not only how much they have done.

One rubric, published.

Each piece is scored Needs work, Satisfactory, Good or Exceptional on six criteria. It is credited when nothing needs work and the first three are at least Good. A piece that falls short comes back with the rows that held it, and what would pass.

CriterionWhat we look forCredited from
Design Type, colour, hierarchy and spacing that hold together; no spelling errors. Good
Experience Clear paths, purposeful motion, no broken links, works on every screen size. Good
Structure Semantic markup, sensible class and component names, shallow nesting, a CMS that models the content. Good
Optimisation One heading per page, search and share fields set, light images, a fast first paint. Satisfactory
Accessibility Contrast, alt text, distinct link names, keyboard reachable, labelled controls. Satisfactory
Platform depth Makes real use of the product: CMS, components, print intent, apps. Satisfactory

Points, and what moves them.

A credited piece earns its kind’s points, scaled by how it scored: Satisfactory across the rubric keeps the base, Good earns half again, Exceptional doubles it. Featured work earns 50 more. Points count over a rolling twelve months, and every line in your ledger says where it came from.

Points are recognition. They are never a balance and never paid out.

Credit that can be checked, shown the way you choose.

Credited work can carry a “Built by” line in the client site’s footer that links to a page we host confirming it. Turn it off and the page comes down with it, which is how white-label work stays white-label. For each piece you choose how the client appears:

Name the client

Shown in the showcase with the client’s name. Needs their agreement.

Hide the client

Shown in the showcase as work for a client in their industry.

Keep it private

Counts toward your tier. Never shown publicly. For work under NDA.

Nothing changes in silence.

Every decision comes with its reason. A tier only moves down at a review, twice a year, after 60 days’ notice in your dashboard. The directory’s order is published, and nobody pays for a place in it. Changes to the rules are dated here before they apply.

  • The Stacklumen Dev Program opens: three tiers, product distinctions, a six-part rubric and the public directory.
  • Client portals are no longer part of the suite, so they are no longer a kind of work to submit. Pieces already submitted or credited as a client portal keep their credit and points.

The program, in plain terms.

Cost
Free, on every plan.
Membership
Belongs to the workspace. Its owners and admins apply, keep the listing and answer introductions.
Your work
You submit work you made and may show, and you name a client only with their agreement.
Credit
Recognition only. Points order the directory and decide tiers; they are never a balance and never paid out.
Review
By a person, against the published rubric, aiming for 10 working days, with a reason for every decision. Work may be returned for changes up to 2 times.
Reapplying
An application that is not accepted can be sent again after 90 days, with the earlier feedback in view.
Withdrawal
Stacklumen may withdraw a credit or end a membership, always with a written reason. Reply to it to ask for a second review.
Changes
Every change to these rules is dated in the list below. A threshold never moves against members without notice.

This is a summary. The Dev Program Terms are the full terms, beside the Terms of Service.

Questions, answered.

What does it cost?
Nothing. The program is open to every workspace on every plan, including Free.
Who can join?
Agencies and independents who build client work in Terminal, Baselumen or Operalumen. Membership belongs to the workspace, so the agency is credited as a whole and the people on each piece are named by their role.
How long does a review take?
We aim to answer applications and submitted work within 10 working days. Your status page shows the date, and you hear either way, in the product and by email.
What work earns credit?
Client work made in our products and out in the world: live sites, templates, components, print and brand work, and apps. Personal sites and lightly reskinned templates are not credited, and one piece of work can only ever be credited once.
Can I submit work under NDA?
Yes. Keep it private and it counts toward your tier without ever being shown. Or hide the client, and the piece is shown as work for a client in their industry.
Do points pay out?
No. Points are recognition: they order the directory and decide your tier, and they are never a balance. Selling your templates in the Baselumen marketplace is separate, with its own terms.
Can I lose a tier or a credit?
A tier only moves down at a twice-yearly review, after 60 days’ notice, and never in silence. A credit can be withdrawn if the work goes offline or changes beyond what was reviewed, always with a written reason you can answer.
How do introductions work?
From Verified, clients can ask for an introduction from your listing, with their budget and brief. It arrives in your bell and inbox, and you agree terms with them directly. You can set the smallest engagement you take, and pause introductions whenever you are full.
Can I credit people outside my workspace?
Yes. Name anyone by their role, and credit another Dev member by their directory address: they are asked to accept, and an accepted credit shows the work on their Dev page too. It never counts toward their tier, so credits cannot be traded for standing.
Is this the referral partner program?
No. The partner program pays commission for introducing clients to Stacklumen’s own services. The Dev Program is for the people building on our products. You can be part of both. See the partner program.
