Open-source tools, tutorials, and resources — completely free. The Baselumen arm of Stacklumen: themes, brand assets, design tokens, and the working notes behind everything we ship.
Baselumen is the components and resources arm of Stacklumen — a library of free tools, design tokens, downloadable assets, and tutorials, drawn directly from the work we do for paying clients.
Most of this library is in active development. The VS Code theme and Chrome theme are live and downloadable today; the rest is on the roadmap below.
Stacklumen for VS Code — pure-blue ladder over near-black surfaces, JetBrains Mono, gradient-heavy chrome via the Custom CSS and JS Loader companion overlay.
A signature blue browser theme built for focus. Minimalist surfaces, our #0065FF accent, and a tab strip that stays out of the way.
A complete brand identity manual covering logo usage, color tokens, typography, voice, and design principles.
CSS custom properties, JSON tokens, palette SVG, and a usage README — the full Stacklumen visual language packaged for any project.
The exact checklist we run on every site we audit — from site/canonical/robots to JSON-LD coverage and llms.txt. Save the PDF or run it interactively in Toolumen.
Keynote and PowerPoint templates with Stacklumen typography, color tokens, and layout patterns.
A minimal Astro starter with our SEO scaffolding, MainLayout, brand tokens, and Cloudflare adapter pre-wired. Clone, deploy, ship.
Copy-paste schema.org snippets for Organization, FAQPage, Product, Article, BreadcrumbList, HowTo, and more. The set we use on stacklumen.com.
Tokens, naming, components, and the hairline rule. ~12 minutes, advanced.
The 10-slide structure we use for client and investor decks. ~18 minutes, intermediate.
Brand vs. logo, color choice frameworks, type pairing, voice. ~22 minutes, beginner.
April Dunford's positioning canvas, applied. ~25 minutes, advanced.
[ Honest take ] Free resources are also good marketing — we know. The difference is we'd build these things even if no one used them, because we use them ourselves.
Built a tool, template, or tutorial that could help the community? We'd love to feature it. Resources stay in your name. No exclusivity, no rights transfer. Credit and back-link provided.
