What we set
Essential cookies from our authentication provider keep your session signed in across the suite, and a small number of first-party preferences (like your theme choice) make the product remember how you left it. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics, consent and campaign storage
These are kept in your browser's own storage rather than in cookies, and are sent only to us. None of them holds your name or email address.
- sl-consent — the choices you made in Preferences, and the version of this policy they answer. Essential: it is how we keep to them. Kept until you clear your browser's storage; we ask again when this policy changes.
- sl-visitor-id — a random id sent with each choice you make, so our record of what you chose can be told apart from anyone else's. Essential. Created when you first choose, and kept until you clear your browser's storage.
- sl_session_id — a random id for one browser tab, so the pages read in one visit count as one session. Analytics. Removed when the tab closes, or when you turn analytics off.
- sl_anonymous_id — a random id that links your visits to one another. Analytics, created only once you allow analytics, and removed when you turn it off.
- sl_utm — the campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content) of the link that brought you here. Marketing, created only once you allow marketing, and removed when you turn it off.
Until you choose, a page view is counted with the tab's session id only, and with no campaign tags. If you turn analytics off, nothing is sent at all. We record the address of the page without its query string, and only the site a visit came from, never the page. You can change your choices at any time from Preferences, at the foot of our public pages.
